Hinsdale's Boggio is approaching a milestone

Posted

HINSDALE, N.H. >> Matt Boggio, who is a senior guard on the Hinsdale High School varsity boys basketball team, is just 29 points shy of 1,000 for his career.

He could be the 10th player in school history to reach the milestone. Skylar Bonnette and Allison Scott both got to a grand during the Lady Pacers' championship run two years ago, while Julie Messenger, Gary Beaman, Sleepy Brooks, Steve Deschenes, Jason Dillon, Joe Sarsfield and Larry Scott are also on the list.

Hinsdale's senior captain could reach the feat in tonight's home game versus Derryfield at 7 or possibly during Wednesday's 7 p.m. game inside "the Stable" versus Newport.

The Pacers are currently 5-7 and ranked 13th in the Division 4 standings. Coached by Eric Boyd, Carl Anderson and Joe Boggio, the Hinsdale varsity players are Caleb Steever, Josh Webster, Dan O'melia, Cole Swanson, Matt Boggio, Pete McCosker, Nate O'melia, Ryan Boggio, Zach Lepisto, Zachery Mitchell, Kyle Rideout, Trace Kirkwood and Cameron Morales.
