It's Brattleboro Film Festival's closing weekend!


On Saturday Nov. 7 at 4 p.m. the "PEACE OFFICER" followed by a panel discussion with Brattleboro Chief of Police Michael Fitzgerald, Ex. Director of Vt Partnership for Fairness and Diversity Curtiss Reed, and Allen Gilbert of Vt ACLU at the Latchis.

On Friday, Nov. 6, 6:30 P.M. The annual BFF Gallery Walk Art Screening is Packed in a Trunk / The Art of Christine Triebert. A post screening reception with Christine Triebert is a unique opportunity to meet the artist, and view a pop-up gallery of selected pieces created during the making of the film in the Lobby of Latchis Hotel.

On Saturday, Nov. 7, 12 P.M. The "Plastic Paradise" screening will be followed by informative panel discussion at Latchis Theater.

On Saturday, Nov. 7, 6:30 P.M. The Cuban drama "Conducta" (trans. "Behavior"). Following the screening, Cuban Conducta actress Idalmis Garcia will lead a Q&A. in the Lobby of Latchis Hotel.

On Saturday, Nov. 7, 8:30 P.M .- MIDNIGHT Night in Havana Fundraising Gala. Cuban bandleader William Rodriguez and "De Lomas y Sones." Cash Bar with tap beer, wine, Specialty Mojitos and Cuban finger-food. $15 at, at Everyone's Books or at the door. 118 Elliot, 118 Elliot St., Brattleboro

Sunday, Nov. 8, 12 P.M. Documentary Film in "Cuba Today," A Talk with Alexandra Halkin, Director of Burlington-based Americas Media Initiative and Lazaro Gonzalez, Cuban Documentary Filmmaker, with excerpts from recent Cuban documentaries. CLOSING DAY 'BEST IN FEST' COUNTDOWN. The festival will close Sunday, Nov. 8 with the audience-chosen "Best in Fest" award and "Countdown to Best in Fest" films. films voted by festival-goers as the best films. The films begin at 2 p.m., then 4 and 6:30 p.m. Voted The Best in Fest re-screens at 8:30 p.m. Sunday night. See complete schedule at
