Kate O’Connor to address AAUW members and guests
WEST BRATTLEBORO -- The Brattleboro branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) is hosting Kate O’Connor, former assistant to Gov. Howard Dean, on Monday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. at the Community Room at Hayes Court, Garfield Drive, in West Brattleboro.
O’Connor, a graduate of Brattleboro Union High School and Bates College, will address members and guests in attendance. O’Connor is the author of "Do the Impossible: My Crash Course on Presidential Politics Inside the Howard Dean Campaign." She began working for Gov. Dean as a special assistant and Secretary of Civil and Military Affairs on his first day in office. She was his special assistant when he ran for president in 2004.
AAUW is a national organization devoted to advancing equity in education for women and girls through advocacy, education, research and philanthropy.
