Kiss A Pig for NewBrook

NEWFANE >> Who will kiss a pig at the all school sing at Newbrook Elementary on Thursday, April 14? The contestants with the most money in his or her piggy bank.

Contestants include Archer Mayor (author), Keith D. Clark (Sheriff), Steven John (Superintendent), Scotty Tabachnick (NewBrook Principal), Joyce VanPamelen (NewBrook sixth-grade teacher), David Parker (Brookline moderator and retired NewBrook teacher) and Ken McFadden (Newfane School Board).

The 6th graders created pigs out of boxes which were then used to create displays for the local area. They were at the Newfane Country Store, Newbrook Elementary School, Windham Central Supervisory Union, and Newfane and Brookline Town Halls. The 6th grade students have also spent two chilly weekends outside RiverBend Farm Market soliciting donations.

With only a few more days left for donations, the race is tight. There are four contestants within $7 of each other. In the lead is David Parker followed by Scotty Tabachnik, Joyce VanPamelen and Keith Clark.

Proceeds benefit the NewBrook 6th grade trip to Montreal.

For more information, contact Joyce VanPamelen or Scotty Tabachnik at Newbrook Elementary School at 802-365-7536.
