Kurn Hattin Select Choir to participate in Keene State's Presto Music Festival


WESTMINSTER >> On Friday, March 11, choral groups from several regional middle schools will participate in the Presto! Middle School Choral Festival at the Keene State College Redfern Arts Center.

The festival is a non-competitive educational event that will feature middle-school choirs from Kurn Hattin Homes for Children, Keene Middle School, Chesterfield Central School, St. Joseph's Regional School, Jaffrey-Rindge Middle School, and South Meadow School. The concert also features performances by Keene State's Concert Choir, Chamber Singers and Vocal Consort. The festival begins at 9 a.m. in Alumni Hall, and the Kurn Hattin Select Choir sings at 10 a.m. The KSC Department of Music and KSC student chapter of the American Choral Directors Association co-sponsors these annual outreach and collaborative events in an effort to provide creative performance and clinic experiences for young, emerging singers.

Established in 1894, Kurn Hattin Homes for Children in Westminster, Vermont is a charitable home and school for children, ages 6-15, who are affected by tragedy, social or economic hardship, or other disruption in family life.
