Lenois to lead River Garden roundtable
Long-time radio talk show host Chris Lenois, who now serves as associate director of marketing communications at Landmark College, will be the moderator of the discussion, which will include representatives of most area media organizations.
Participants will include Kevin Moran, executive editor of New England Newspapers, Inc. (publishers of the Brattleboro Reformer); Greg Sukiennik, NENI's managing editor for Vermont; Jeff Potter, editor and operations director of The Commons; Randy Holhut, news editor of The Commons; Olga Peters, host of Green Mountain mornings on WKVT; Tim Johnson Arsenault, longtime WTSA newscaster; Roland Boyden, production manager at Brattleboro Community Television; and Martin Langeveld, NENI board member and former Reformer publisher.
The event will have a roundtable format with the public invited to listen as well as to bring their questions and comments. The focus will be on the local news ecosystem: How well it is serving the public? Is it economically sustainable? What new directions should it be taking? How is the nature of local journalism changing? And, given the trends toward digital and streaming delivery and consumption of local news, what business models can sustain journalism going forward?
The session is free and open to the public.
