Letter: An engineering marvel

An engineering marvel

Editor of the Reformer:

How does it stay there? That massive concrete slab extending out over Route 30 at the I-91 bridge project. I see no cables nor I-bars so perhaps its how a cantilever design works? As I drive below it and look up through my moon roof, I foolishly think of sliding the window's cover as a measure of protection. I'd doff my hard hat if I had one to the designers, engineers and workers that will make the new bridge a delight to our eyes and compliment the view of the gateway to our West River
