Letter: Help save Vermont's forests

Help save Vermont's forests

Editor of the Reformer:

The threat of forest fragmentation is real, and it's concerning that our forests are declining for the first time in over a century. The Vermont House hopefully is slated to vote next week on an important bill, H. 789, an act relating to forest integrity and municipal and regional planning that needs support from your representatives.

H. 789 encourages better local and regional planning to maintain healthy forests and wildlife. I urge you to contact your representatives to maintain healthy forests.

Clifford Peters, Bellows Falls, March 10
