Editor of the Reformer:

Thank you to the Reformer for the article (April 19) about the mobile home that the brothers of the Weston Priory offered to the Goldsmith family, whose home in Putney was completely destroyed by fire in January. As the article noted, the family needs to pay for transportation of the mobile home, a new cement base for it, and hooking up electricity and plumbing — in addition to replacing all that was lost in the fire as well as the day-to-day expenses for a family with two small children.

Putney Family Services has contributed to the fund to help the Goldsmiths. We would like to thank others who have also contributed, and encourage anyone who can to donate to help the family — including anyone who may have specific skills that may be useful as they prepare to install the new mobile home. Checks made out to the Winston Prouty Center, with "Shane Goldsmith" in the subject line, can be sent to Kellyn McCullough at the Winston Prouty Center, 20 Winston Prouty Way, Brattleboro, VT 05301; anyone wishing to help can also call Kellyn McCullough at the Winston Prouty Center at 258-2414, ext. 21.

Maggie Cassidy, Secretary of the Board, Putney Family Services, <ay 9
