Letter: Support of Deen, Mrowicki

Support of Deen, Mrowicki

Editor of the Reformer:

We would like to encourage the citizens of Windham District 4 (Putney, Dummerston and Westminster) to once again return David Deen, and Mike Mrowicki, as our representatives, to the state house. Their past history has shown these men involved in all areas of our society. Not just an emphasis on one. Both men have a long list of accomplishments in the house.

Their opponents in this election have a one issue agenda. Both members of Gun Owners of Vermont. One is the president. "Dedicated to a no-compromise position against gun control."

Really? Does not the majority of our society see the need to deal with this issue? How many more tragedies will it take?

Mike for instance "understands how to find the common ground on the issue of gun safety so that Vermont"s hunting traditions and right to bear arms can be upheld while simultaneously tightening the loop holes that allow guns to fall into the hand of domestic abuser and violent felons."

We encourage voters to be aware of all Mike and David have done, and continue to do, for our state and then of course vote.

Stewart and Kris McDermet, Dummerston, Aug. 8
