Letter: Support of Mrowicki and Deen

Support of Mrowicki and Deen

Editor of the Reformer:

I'm writing to ask the voters of Windham County District 4 to reelect Mike Mrowicki and David Deen to the Vermont House of Representatives. These two public servants have a history of accomplishments that benefit their constituents in Dummerston, Putney and Westminster. Mike has been a strong advocate for children and families as a member of the House Committee on Human Services and David has worked tirelessly as Chair of the Committee on Fish, Wildlife and Water Resources on conservation issues. Both Mike and David also support a common sense approach of criminal background checks for gun purchases because they recognize the wisdom of keeping guns out of the wrong hands while preserving Vermont's hunting traditions.

They are single issue candidates and second amendment absolutists whose no compromise position on criminal background checks is far outside the mainstream of the vast majority of Vermonters including most gun owners. We know little of their other policy positions.

Please cast your vote for two proven public servants — Mike Mrowicki and David Deen.

Jim Johnson, Dummerston, Aug. 16
