Letter: Telling it like it is
Telling it like it is
Editor of the Reformer:
I think it was Mark Twain who said that one would never go broke betting on the stupidity of the American people, but frankly Trumpnicks astound me.
Although Hillary is less than perfect, i.e. dishonesty, lack of transparency, financial indiscretions, etc., she is, after all a politician, which implies a certain level of being disingenuous. However, as bad as she may be, she is not a bigoted, misogynistic, racist, double dealing, self centered blowhard who could easily throw us into a nuclear holocaust with hate and fear mongering. How people in this country can even consider voting for a man who has disrespected Latinos, blacks, women and the handicapped is beyond me. His supporters insist that he "tells it like it is." What exactly is that?
The media created him because he was entertaining, but now they are stuck with him much like Dr. Frankenstein was stuck with his monster. His love affair with Putin should be more than enough to disqualify him, yet he persists. His denying climate change should be enough, yet he persists. His crooked business dealings and abuse of charities should be enough, yet again he persists. If he is elected, the American people will get exactly what they deserve, a self-serving thug.
