Letter: The kindness of strangers

The kindness of strangers

Editor of the Reformer:

Just to let you know there are still some kind and helpful young people in this country: I was at the Putney Road Post Office last week to mail a small package and only took $2 with me because the package was so light. When all was said and done, the total cost was $2.75 and I started for my car to get my wallet. The young gentleman at the counter behind me said, "Give me your $2 and I will pay the additional charge."

I couldn't thank him enough because I am elderly and walk with a cane. I hope this gentleman will see this letter and know I truly appreciate what he did.
