Local girls win saddles in equine tournament

Posted

BELLOWS FALLS >> Three local girls, Jenna Dolloph, of Grafton, Arin Kenyon, of Chester, VT, and Averie Lowe, of Bellows Falls, each won saddles and belt buckles at the Grafton Family Riding Club year-end banquet that was held on Dec 5, 2015, in Canaan, N.H.

Grafton Family Riding Club is a family horse back riding club located at the Grafton Recreation Field in Grafton, N.H. It is a club that welcomes riders of all abilities — beginner, advanced, young, old and those who ride both Western or English.

In order for the girls to qualify for a chance to win a saddle they had to attend at least five of the six pointed gymkhana shows with the same horse/rider combination. The rider with the most points in each of the six divisions won a saddle.

Dolloph earned Champion of the Walk/Trot Division riding her horse, Cricket, with 180 points. Lowe earned Champion of the Youth B Division on her horse, Destiny, with 197 points, and Kenyon earned Champion of the Youth A Division on her horse, Tikka, with 136 points.
