Local McDonald's donates $6K to Green Street School

Posted
BRATTLEBORO — Peter Napoli, the owner of McDonald's on Putney Road, recently presented Green Street School with a check for $6,000.

The amount represented 10 percent of the opening weekend sales of the rebuilt restaurant, held on Sept. 15, 16 and 17.

Napoli "rounded up" the proceeds to an even $6,000, noting the amount exceeded what he anticipated when he first offered the promotion.

"Green Street School is a wonderful representative of the Brattleboro community," said Napoli.

Principal Mark Speno said that he was not sure how the money would be used.

"We will be looking for ideas from the students to see how the donation could be used to enrich and enhance student learning," he said.
