Main Street Arts hosts community art show

The works of regional artists will be featured in a community art show opening Monday, Oct. 17 at Main Street Arts and will run through Nov. 11.

The public is invited to an opening reception Thursday, Oct. 20 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The show will display pieces in a variety of media in this first show in which local artists were invited to submit pieces.

Among the artists exhibiting is Susie Peters, whose large macramé pieces have been hung in public buildings, including the Pavilion Office Building in Montpelier. Also, Sloan Dawson has submitted a collage of found objects, and the parents of the late John Stephen Nicoll have submitted some of his work. Among others displaying are Della Thompson, Wendy O'Dette, Roberta Streeter, Frieda Post, Debbie Wetzel and Deb Bump.
