'Making All Things New' is Rev. Amico's sermon Sunday
WEST BRATTLEBORO -- April 28 is the Fifth Sunday of Easter at First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 880 Western Ave. in West Brattleboro. The Rev. Joseph Amico's sermon will be "Making All Things New" based on Revelation 21:1-6. Organist and Choir Director William McKim will share a prelude of "Partite" in b minor M. Rossi and a postlude of "Prelude" in e minor M. Bruhns.
The Senior Choir will sing "For Love Shall Be Our Song" by D. Wagner with accompanying flute provided by Ruth Chamberlin. Congregational hymns this week are "To You, O God, All Creatures Sing," "This Is a Day of New Beginnings," and "I Want to be Ready." Guitarist Jeff Brewer will play gathering music.
Sunday worship is at 10 a.m. During the worship hour, there is Sunday School for pre-school through grade 6, and childcare for younger children. Following worship there is a coffee hour. There is an ongoing collection of canned fruits and vegetables, pasta and sauces, peanut butter, tuna fish, and cereals for the Drop-In Center's Food Shelf.
