Marlboro seeks candidates

MARLBORO -- On Town Meeting Day, March 5, Marlboro voters will elect one Selectboard member for a three-year term; Town Clerk for one year to fill out the term; Treasurer for a three-year term; one Lister for a three-year term; one Auditor for a three-year term; one School Board member for one three-year term; Constable for one-year term; Grand Juror for one-year term; Town Agent for one-year term; and Collector of Delinquent Taxes for three-year term.

Many of the incumbents are running again but current Selectboard member Craig Hammond has decided to step down.

Nominating petition forms for candidates for town and school district offices are now available at the Town Clerk’s office. Information sheets, filing procedures, and a calendar of deadlines are also on hand. Pick up forms during office hours -- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or call 802-254-2181 to have forms mailed.

The office will be closed on Monday, Jan. 21 in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.
