Melodrama Festival Two at New England Youth Theatre

Posted

Brattleboro >> Once again it's time for the New England Youth Theatre's Melodrama Festival Two! It's action packed fun that will have you cheering and jeering heroes, villains and fools. Our Educational Director, Jonny Flood, has written two great melodramas and both Junior and Senior Melodrama performances are in one great show.

Maia Gilmour and Henry Weisel direct the Junior cast in "Things That Ghost-Punch In The Night". When the Grayson family moved to Creaky Hollow, they had heard rumors of some paranormal activity. After one night in the old house they learned the rumors were more true than they could ever have imagined. It's up to Luc and Lucia, TV's "Ghost Punchers" to save the day! Come enjoy this spooky, goofy, slapstick ghost-story about family, fear, and reality TV!

Micheal Trzos and Kristina direct the Senior cast in "Hard Rock vs. Disco: The Fight to Determine the Future of the Entire World". In 1978 the musical landscape is changing and the fate of the entire human race hangs in the balance. One group of brave rockers is all that stands between the American artistic landscape and the marauding hordes of hairspray-wielding, high-heel-wearing, sequin-sparkling disc fanatics.

Madcap mayhem at NEYT, fun for the whole family.

Performances are Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m., and Saturday at 2 p.m. All tickets $8, includes both shows, available online at neyt.org. The New England Youth Theatre is located at 100 Flat St., Brattleboro
