NECCA puts circus spin on holiday favorite

BRATTLEBORO -- The New England Center for Circus Arts presents its annual holiday show that puts a circus spin on the classic Nutcracker tale. "The Flying Nut: A Dark & Stormy Night," a quirky fantasy where a party leads to a magical gift, and the gift leads to a circus adventure in mysterious lands, will be presented Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 1 and 5 p.m., and Sunday at 1 and 5 p.m., at NECCA’s studio in the Cotton Mill.

This annual show brings together the Professional Adult Program with the Youth Performance troupe and sprinkles in guest artists. The show is fun for the whole family with high-flying trapeze, acrobatics, partner balancing, juggling, trick roller skating and more.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for children under 12, free for children under 2. The show has sold out in the last few years, and even though NECCA has added a fifth performance this year, advance ticket purchase is recommended.

Tickets are available at For more information, call 802-254-9780.
