Maisie Crowther watercolors
on exhibit at Putney Library

PUTNEY -- At the Putney Library during March and April, watercolors by Maisie Crowther of Brattleboro will be on display.

Crowther has exhibited her work at the former Windham Art Gallery, Stratton Art Festival, Vermont Watercolor Society, Saxons River Art Guild and is an artist member of Brattleboro West Arts. She has taught both children and adults in area schools. For 20 years, she has been the coordinator of the Brattleboro Senior Center Water-based Media Group. Recently, she exhibited a 50-year retrospective at West Village Meeting House. The exhibit is open during library hours, Monday to Friday, from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Crowell features Esther Fielding

NEWFANE -- The March exhibit at the Crowell Gallery of the Moore Free Library opens Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m., and will feature Ester Fielding presenting a selection of a lifetime of her works in watercolor, oils and printmaking covering 66 years; 33 years before moving to Vermont and 33 years in Vermont. This exhibit celebrates her 85th birthday in March. Fielding has been a resident of Marlboro since 1980, where she taught art and kindergarten at Marlboro Elementary School until retirement in 1994.

The exhibit runs through March 30 and is open for viewing Tuesday to Friday, 1 to 5 p.m., and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
