New Hampshire hospitals share innovations

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire hospitals trying to both improve quality and lower costs are sharing their strategies at a luncheon in Manchester.

The Business and Industry Association is partnering with the New Hampshire Hospital Association and the New Hampshire Medical Society for Thursday's event focused on innovations in health care.

The speakers will include officials from Elliot Health System who will describe its move to give patients an upfront, bundled price that includes all hospital services associated with various procedures. The director of the Center for Telehealth at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center will discuss how that facility is using advanced technology to deliver quality health care for lower cost.
