New Year’s closings

In observance of New Year’s Day, all Brattleboro town offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 1, with the exception of emergency services. Offices will be open for regular hours on Monday, Dec. 31.

Brooks Memorial Library will close at 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, and will be closed all day Tuesday, Jan. 1.

Parking is free at all metered spaces and in the pay-and-display lots on Tuesday, Jan. 1. All other violations, including extended parking, will be enforced.

Trash and recycling will not be picked up on Tuesday, Jan. 1. Trash and recycling pick-up will be delayed by one day starting Tuesday, Jan. 1.

The BeeLine Bus will run its normal schedule on Monday, Dec. 31. It will not run on Tuesday, Jan. 1. Any questions should be directed to The Current (formerly Connecticut River Transit) at 802-460-7433.

Brattleboro Housing Authority will be closing at 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, and closed on Tuesday, Jan. 1.

KidsPLAYce will be open on Monday, Dec. 31, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.; closed on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1; and resume regular hours on Wednesday, Jan. 2, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.


The Dummerston Town Offices will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.


The Moore Free Library will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 1. The library is always closed on Mondays.
