PUTNEY -- Next Stage Arts Project announces the December film series "Thursdays with Jimmy," a series of four films celebrating the work of screen icon Jimmy Stewart. All films start at 7 p.m., in the main theatre at Next Stage.

The community is invited to spend four Thursday evenings this month enjoying Jimmy Stewart’s work as it was originally seen, projected in high resolution on a large-format screen. The series kicks off Thursday, Dec. 6, with "Harvey," the 1950 classic starring Stewart as Elwood P Dowd. Other films in the series include "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" on Dec. 13, "You Can’t Take it With You" on Dec. 20 and "The Shop Around the Corner" on Dec. 27.

Admission to all films is by suggested donation of $5.

Information about upcoming events, renovation plans and theater enhancements and a wide range of opportunities for support is available at www.nextstagearts.org.
