N.H. ski areas upgrade lifts, trails, snowmaking

NORTH WOODSTOCK, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire ski areas have been busy this summer with new lifts, trails and snowmaking improvements as they get ready for later this year.

Ski NH, the state association representing 33 alpine and cross country resorts in the state, says lifts have been replaced and improved at Ragged Mountain in Danbury and Mount Sunapee in Newbury. The Mount Sunapee lift will cut the ride time to the summit by more than half, to just over 4 minutes.

Other resorts have increased their snowmaking, such as Pats Peak in Henniker, Granite Gorge in Keene, Cannon Mountain in Franconia, Loon Mountain in Lincoln, Waterville Valley and Bretton Woods.
