Northeast Fiddlers coming to Bellows Falls

Posted

The Northeast Fiddlers Association (NEFA) is planning a foray into southern Vermont to hold a "fiddle meet" at Noon on Sunday, at the Moose Lodge in Bellows Falls.

NEFA is a group of fiddlers, music-lovers and other musicians who attend meets to dance and socialize. For more than 50 years, NEFA has held a monthly meet on the first Sunday of every months in northern Vermont towns.

Holding the meet in Bellows Falls is intended to increase awareness and membership. Non-members are welcome to attend and participate in meets, which begin with a jam that lasts for an hour. Fiddlers and other instrumentalists sign up on a numbered list upon arrival between noon and 1 p.m., at which time the moderator calls upon musicians who pay to play solo or invite others to join them.

Food and drink will be available for purchase from the Moose Lodge. More information on the Northeast Fiddlers Association facebook page.
