Oak Grove Intergenerational Chorus sings May 28

BRATTLEBORO -- The Oak Grove School Intergenerational Chorus will perform at the River Garden on Main Street on Wednesday, May 28, at 12:15 p.m. The concert is part of the ongoing Strolling of the Heifers Brown Bag lunchtime series. Admission is free.

The Oak Grove School Intergenerational Chorus, under the direction of Andy Davis, brings together fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders from the Oak Grove School Chorus with community volunteers to sing songs from various harmony traditions. Songs are accompanied on piano, guitar and flute

This year’s program includes folk songs and compositions from the repertoire of Pete Seeger, two classic Beatles songs and an original composition by Davis. The choir was founded to promote singing as a lifelong endeavor and as an opportunity to give back to the community by offering free concerts.
