Old Home Sunday to be celebrated this week at Marlboro Meeting House

MARLBORO -- The Marlboro Meeting House service will begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 10. Immediately following the service there will be a potluck lunch to celebrate Old Home Sunday.

Pastor Amanda C. Swoyer’s sermon title is "It is darkest before the dawn." We will hear about slavery, prison, dreams, storms Š and more.

The scripture readings are Psalm 105:1-6 and 16-22, and Matthew 14:22-33. Fred Gray is organist this week and will accompany the congregation for singing some familiar hymns.

A stair chair is available for a lift to and from the sanctuary.

Those attending are invited to bring a dish to share and join the fellowship at lunch. There will be a table set aside for photos, newspaper clippings, and other special items on display to remind us of all the years we can remember at the old place in the center of town. Those who are making new memories will certainly enjoy the trip back in time.

Marlboro Meeting House is located one half mile from Route 9 on South Road, about eight miles between Brattleboro and Wilmington.
