Pacers fall to Conant


HINSDALE, N.H. >> The Hinsdale varsity boys soccer team fell to Division 3 Conant, 4-1, in a recent home game.

Forwards Ryan Boggio, Danny Roberts and Caleb Steever had some good combinations in the first half for the hosts. And goalie Kyle Rideout made a couple of outstanding saves in the game.

The Pacers will finished the regular season by hosting Concord Christian for Senior Day on Friday.

Twin Valley 12, Bellows Falls 1

WILMINGTON >> Logan Park and Luis Guerra each had a hat trick as the Wildcats improved to 10-1 overall. Chad Bernard and Tommy Therrien both tallied twice, while James McGovern also scored. Simon Bupp-Chickering did the damage for the 0-6 Terriers.


Brattleboro 5, Leland & Gray 1

TOWNSHEND >> Axis Balsley and Rachael Rooney each had a pair of goals to power the 3-7-1 Colonels, while Olivia Romo also split the posts. Jessie Stockwell delivered for the Rebels.

In Thursday's 2-1 loss to rival MAU, Brattleboro's Samantha Cragin set up Gabby Carpenter for a goal on a corner kick.

Twin Valley 8, Bellows Falls 0

WILMINGTON >> Karlee Walkowiak went off for four goals as the Wildcats improved to 5-6-1. Kassidy Walkowiak, Caitlin Hunt, Brianna O'Hearn and Tayler Courchesne added one burial apiece on Senior Night, when Karlee Walkowiak, Kassidy Walkowiak, Caitlin Hunt, Kyla Lavoy, Hailey Howe and Francesca Pozzi were all honored. It was the second consecutive shutout for Celia Betit, while Jarret Niles, Tatyana Bowman, Callie Dix and Howe were all outstanding in the back.


Sarah Gallagher (6th), Annie Takacs (8th), Liz Morse (12th), Elery Loggia (17th) and Alexandra Miskovich (20th) led the Brattleboro girls to a silver medal in the Connecticut Valley Championship meet in Keene on Friday. The Brattleboro boys finished fourth and were guided by Isaac Freitas-Eagan (5th), Spencer Loggia (19th), Trevor Kipp (20th), Colin Costa-Walsh (32nd) and Dan Jaro (76th).

The Bellows Falls boys ended up seventh in the team scoring. Nic Potter (38th), Timmy Salter-Roy (40th), Ian Wallace (46th), Jackson Purdy (58th) and Cam Joy (65th) were the top five for the Terriers.

Hinsdale's Maggie St. John (21:51) and Rachael Girroir (23:14) were first and second overall at a meet in Hillsborough. Alex Schwartz and Garrett Behan placed second and third respectively to lead the Hinsdale boys.


Rhys Fontaine tallied twice in Brattleboro's 3-0 win over West County and again in his team's 5-1 decision over Mount Hermon in a pair of U9 Connecticut River Valley Soccer League matches. Mark Richards followed with three goals, while Gabriel Alexander also scored.
