HINSDALE, N.H. -- Coming off of an impressive 15-3 season, the Hinsdale girls basketball team opened up with a 50-20 rout of Derryfield on Friday evening.

"The girls played tenacious D. We’d get a steal or stop and then hit a layup at the other end," said Pacers coach Terry Bonnette, whose team went to the break ahead 28-7.

Skylar Bonnette and Allison Scott scored 15 and 14 points respectively to lead the winners. Bridget Bourne finished with seven points and nine rebounds.

"We played very well early on. I’m happy with our opener, but we didn’t defensive rebound particularly well and we didn’t shoot that well," added the Hinsdale coach.

The 1-0 Pacers will host Concord Christian on Tuesday night at 7.
