Pacers sweep Newmarket in double-header

NEWMARKET, N.H. -- The Pacer girls softball team swept Newmarket on Saturday, with two wins over the Mules.

In the first game, Hinsdale went into the seventh inning up by two runs, and only allowed one run before taking a 3-2 win. The team had four hits. Pacer starter Elise Atkins scattered nine hits and walked two.

In game two, the Pacers were down, 5-3, heading into the seventh. Skylar Bonnette, Mckenzie Bonnette, and Atkins all had a hit, then Hinsdale’s Taylor Roberts knocked in the winning run on her RBI single to give the Pacers a 6-5 victory.

The 4-2 Pacers will play at Pittsfield, today at 4 p.m.
