Pam Street Walton honored at Northfield Mount Hermon reunion

NORTHFIELD, Mass. -- Pam Street Walton, Class of 1964 at Northfield Mount Hermon School, of Spofford, N.H., received an Alumni Citation at her 50th Reunion at NMH earlier this month, given in recognition of outstanding volunteers at NMH and in the Alumni Association.

Always involved and active, Walton has been a consistently effective volunteer for Northfield Mount Hermon. She has served as her NMH class secretary since 2007, soliciting information for the class notes by calling people directly and keeping the column full for each magazine. She has also been active on both the 45th and 50th reunion committees. She is especially good at keeping her class connected, traveling well between Northfield and Mount Hermon classmates. As a DL Moody Society member, she has participated in a number of fundraising campaign-related events.

In her community, Walton has delivered food for Meals On Wheels and has served as director, treasurer, and secretary of the Spofford Lake Association, a nonprofit organization established to protect the lake and its watershed.

"Now in retirement," she says, "I continue to live the Northfield way. I give thanks for my blessings by giving back to my community, and speak up when I am aware of injustice."
