Pastor Amanda Swoyer’s sermon Sunday in Marlboro is ‘Little Things’

MARLBORO -- The Marlboro Meeting House service will begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 6, as it celebrates America’s ideals in worship and in song. The Sacrament of Communion will be observed. Amanda Swoyer, a licensed pastor through the Vermont Conference United Church of Christ, was called as pastor this year. She is enrolled at Andover Newton Theological School and brings to Marlboro the benefits of her extensive spiritual journey.

Pastor Swoyer states that the sermon title is "Little Things." We often measure ourselves and those around us by what we have to offer or what we can accomplish. Great things are asked of some, but even a cup of cold water offered at the right time, is important. Hymns will include patriotic favorites. Refreshments and fellowship will follow the service.Volunteer opportunities are available each week. Look for the sign-up sheet in the entry way. The Annual Meeting will be held next Sunday after the service. Marlboro Meeting House is located one half mile from Route 9 on South Road, about eight miles between Brattleboro and Wilmington.
