Pastor Meachen’s sermon on Sunday is ‘Creator, Beloved and Comforter’

BRATTLEBORO -- Worship at First United Methodist Church on Sunday, May 26, at 10 a.m. will include the reading the Apostle Paul’s description of the Trinity. The scripture is found in Romans 5:1-5 and will be read by Leslie Kramsky. Pastor Cheryl Meachen’s sermon, "Creator, Beloved and Comforter," will explore the nature of the Holy Trinity and its meaning in our lives today.

The choir, directed by Jenny Hinton, will sing "Surely." A special offering will be received for Peace with Justice Sunday.

Plants and seeds, along with the workers and the soil itself from the church’s Helping Hands garden, will be blessed. Parishioners are also invited to bring plants and other items that they may plan to bury or bring to their loved ones’ graves for Memorial Day to be blessed at the altar during worship.
