Police investigating possible shooting in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD, N.H. - Authorities are investigated an incident along North Hinsdale Road, in Chesterfield, where there are unconfirmed reports that four people were involved in a shooting Saturday afternoon.

Police said they couldn't confirm nor deny the report and said the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office is taking over the case.

At about 2:30 p.m., members of the New Hampshire State Police, Chesterfield Police, Hinsdale Police and Keene Police were dispatched to a piece of private property about two miles down the road.

The piece of property is said to be near the Chesterfield and Hinsdale town lines.

A section of North Hinsdale Road was closed to traffic for several hours and a Black Hyundai Sonata with New Hampshire license plates was towed from the scene.
