• A multi-agency law enforcement team conducted sex offender registry checks in Windham County. There are 104 registered sex offenders in Windham County. On the evening of May 26, 70 of these checks were conducted. The remaining 34 were done during the first two weeks of June. One hundred out of the 104 were found to be in compliance. The remaining four were found to be in violation and determined to not be residing at their registered addresses. Individual press releases for these four violations will be submitted at a later date by the arresting officers.
• The Windham Sheriff's Office responded to a report of underage alcohol use. During the course of the investigation, Alex Rosewarne, 19, of Brattleboro, was arrested for resisting arrest and assault on a law enforcement officer.
• The Windham County Sheriff's Office responded to an incident involving alcohol and underage participants. An investigation led to Alexander Kemp, 18, of Vernon being cited to appear at the Vermont Superior Court Criminal Division to answer to the charge.
• The Windham County Sheriff's Office responded to a vehicle being operated by a juvenile for excessive speed and negligent operation. As a result of the speed and operation the vehicle crashed into a telephone pole on Fort Bridgman Road in Vernon. The operator was transported and treated for minor injuries. There were no other vehicles or occupants involved in the crash. The operator was cited to appear at the Vermont Superior Court Criminal Division to answer to the charges.
