-- Cassandra Cleveland, of Sarasota, Fla., was cited for possession and control of a regulated drug and petit larceny on Thursday, Dec. 20.
She was ordered to appear in Windham Superior Court at a later date to answer to the charges.
-- Jake Kenyon, of Charlestown, N.H., was cited for DUI #2, DUI-Criminal Refusal and Criminal DLS at approximately 1:34 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 23.
Police say Kenyon was also issued citations for traffic violations, including having an open container of alcohol.
Kenyon was ordered held on $1,500 cash or surety and transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility for lack of bail.
-- Martin Bartlett, 46, of Bellows Falls, was cited for unlawful mischief at the Bellows Falls police station after he allegedly damaged the wall and door knob in the public bathroom on Thursday, Dec. 27,
Bartlett was transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility for lack of $100 bail and held until sober.
He was ordered to appear in Windham Superior Court on Tuesday, Jan. 22., to answer to the charge.
The damage to the bathroom was estimated at approximately $200.
-- A local man was cited with unlawful mischief and driving under the influence of alcohol when he slammed his fist though a glass window at the Vermont State Police barracks in Brattleboro.
VSP reported responding to a noise complaint on Townshend’s Brookline Road at approximately 11:38 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26. During the investigation, troopers began speaking with Alexander P. Hrabovsky, 21, who was operating a 2002 Ford Truck. Troopers learned Hrabovsky was over the .08 legal limit and arrested him.
Police say Hrabovsky punched a glass window as he was being released from the Brattleboro barracks and was cited with unlawful mischief. Hrabovsky sustained cuts on his right hand and was treated by Rescue Inc.
He was ordered to appear in court on Tuesday, Jan. 22.
-- A 19-year-old Putney man was uninjured after he rolled over the 2005 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck he was driving on Johnsons Curve Road, just north of the intersection of Houghton Brook Road.
According to police, Leonard Howard IV was northbound and traveling approximately 20 mph when he lost control of the vehicle, resulting in it going off the roadway, striking a power pole and rolling over.
Howard was wearing his seat belt. Snow on the road was a contributing factor in the crash, according to police.
Green Mountain Power was contacted to respond to the scene, as a power pole was broken in the crash.
Niclas Jansson, 21, was cited for failing to drive to the right and driving on defective equipment following a two-vehicle accident on Thursday, Dec. 27.
Trooper Nicholas Arlington was traveling south on Vermont Route 103 in the area of the Vermont Agency of Transportation garage when he discovered a car crash at approximately 5:55 p.m.
Investigation revealed that Jansson was traveling north on Vermont Route 103 when he looked down to try to adjust the speed of his rear windshield wiper. When he looked back up he realized he was going over the road and in an attempt to correct it he jerked the vehicle back onto the roadway, causing the rear of the vehicle to slide out from behind him on the snow-covered road. The vehicle spun into the southbound lane, where he was struck by a vehicle operated by Barbara Miles, 69, of Bristol.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and had to be towed from the scene. Both operators signed off with Rescue Inc. at the scene.
Jansson was issued citations for failing to drive to the right and for driving on defective equipment (bald rear tires).
-- Maureen Abbott, 69, was cited with domestic assault on Thursday, Dec. 27.
Vermont State Police responded to a call regarding a domestic assault at 8 Cobb Lane at roughly 5:15 p.m.
Responding troopers spoke with the individuals involved and arrested Abbott for allegedly biting a man on the arm and causing him to bleed. Abbott was cited for domestic assault and resisting arrest.
She was transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility, where she was being held on $500 bail. She was cited to appear in Windham Superior Court at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28.
The Vermont State Police does not releases the names of victims of sexual or domestic crime but said the man is 73 years old.
-- Vernon Police Chief Mary Beth Hebert said Carnell Parker was cited for civil suspension after the sedan he was operating on Route 142 slid on snow and veered into the other lane, where it struck a plow truck and knocked the plow off.
Hebert said there were no injuries but the sedan was likely totaled.
