-- On July 16, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash that occurred on Fairground Road. Following an investigation, Ryan Chandler, 37, of Brattleboro, was cited with gross negligent operation and cruelty to children. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On Aug. 14, at approximately 6:20 p.m., the Vermont State Police clocked a 2012 Land Rover traveling at 102 mph in a 65-mph zone. As a result, Azriel J. Wolf, 23, of Spring Valley, N.Y., was cited with excessive speed and ordered to appear in court on Sept. 16.
-- On Aug. 3, at approximately 8:10 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Abbott’s Glen Resort for the report of a trespasser. Troopers were told the property owner found a man drinking beer and relaxing in one of the resort’s hot tubs. When trooper arrived, they found Dale Shawn Berglund, 38, of West Allis, Wisc., had made himself at home in the resort and was trying to sleep in one of the resort’s rooms. The resort was closed at the time and Berglund was not a registered guest. He was arrested and cited with unlawful trespass. He was ordered to appear in court on Sept. 16.
-- On Aug. 14, at approximately 10:10 a.m., the Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 5. As a result, Jessika Nelson-Kendall, 30, of Bellows Falls, was arrested for operating with a suspended license and issued tickets for operating without insurance and misuse of plates. She was ordered to appear in court on Sept. 30.
-- On Aug. 13, at approximately 10:25 p.m., the Vermont State Police received a report of a stolen motor vehicle on Warner Center Road. Troopers learned from Terry Ann Mills, 37, of Rockingham, that Jacob Thayer, 36, of Bellows Falls, had taken her vehicle on Aug. 12, sometime between 7:30 and 8 p.m. Troopers are looking for Thayer and the vehicle, a 2002 green/beige Subaru Outback wagon with Vermont registration FMK453. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Thayer or the vehicle are asked to contact the State Police at 802-875-2112.
-- On Aug. 6, at approximately 7:55 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to the River Bend Farm Market for the report of a motor vehicle crash. During the crash investigation it was determined that Jesse McMahon, 33, of Dummerston, had driven a motorcycle to this location after his license had been criminally suspended. He was ordered to appear in court on Sept. 16.
-- On Aug. 5, at just past midnight, the Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on northbound Interstate 91, for a defective equipment violation. Troopers discovered Nathan Barnard, 37, of Vernon, had an active warrant issued for his arrest. During the traffic stop, cocaine smoking paraphernalia was located and the vehicle was seized pending a search warrant. A search warrant was obtained and during search three bags of crack cocaine were located. Barnard was cited with possession of crack cocaine and ordered to appear in court on Sept. 16.
-- On Aug. 14, the Vermont State Police observed a vehicle on Route 100 that was being operated in an erratic fashion. As a result, Tanya J. Powling, 39, of Dover, was arrested, cited with driving while intoxicated and ordered to appear in court on Sept. 2.
