-- On March 29, the Brattleboro Police Department received a report of an alleged assault that occurred in the Domino's parking lot on Canal Street. Following an investigation, Lisa Akey, 30, of Brattleboro, was arrested on March 31 and cited with simple assault. She was ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On April 1, at approximately 6:40 a.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Route 5 in the vicinity of Paul's Road for the report of a single vehicle rollover. Troopers determined Chet Licygiewicz, 58, of Bellows Falls, was traveling south at the speed limit when he lost control after crossing over a large patch of ice on the roadway. With the exception of this patch, which was located on the other side of a blind turn, the roadway was clear of ice. Licygiewicz left the west side of the roadway and struck a ledge, causing his vehicle to turn onto the driver's side. The local fire department assisted in freeing Licygiewicz from the vehicle, which was totaled. He was transported to the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. Licygiewicz attributed his lack of injuries to wearing his seat belt. Al's Towing removed the vehicle.
