Bellows Falls

-- On Nov. 27, at approximately 11:55 p.m., the Bellows Falls Police Department arrested Bradley Roth, 53, of Brattleboro, for driving under the influence on Westminster Street. He was ordered to appear in court on Dec. 17.


-- Following the investigation of an assault that occurred on Oct. 28, the Brattleboro Police Department arrested Amanda B. Sargent, 30, of Hinsdale, N.H., on Nov. 29, and cited her for simple assault and disorderly conduct. She was ordered to appear in court at a later date.


-- On Dec. 1, at approximately 7 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Putney Landing Road for a report of a two-vehicle crash. Troopers determined that Cole Stillman, 21, of San Mateo, Calif., was traveling west when he looked down to adjust his radio and crashed into the back of a vehicle operated by David Smith, 38, of Putney. Both were wearing seatbelts and there were no injuries in the crash. The Putney Fire Department and Rescue Inc. assisted.


-- On Nov. 29, at approximately 6:45 p.m., the Vermont State Police received a report of a possibly intoxicated driver at the Irving gas station on US Route 5. Troopers responded, but the vehicle left the scene prior to arrival. The vehicle was located at approximately 7:20 p.m. traveling north on Interstate 91 in Springfield, where it was stopped for a motor vehicle violation.

The operator, Caroline Dickey, 25, of West Lebanon, N.H., was subsequently arrested for DUI. Dickey was later processed at the Rockingham State Police Barracks and released. She is scheduled to be arraigned on Dec. 17.

-- On Nov. 30, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Interstate 91 for the report of single-vehicle crash. Upon arrival, troopers determined Michael Kemp, 54, of Charlestown, N.H., was traveling south when several deer crossed the roadway in front of him. Kemp struck one of the deer causing moderate front end damage. There were no injuries.

-- On Nov. 30, at approximately 8:50 a.m., the Vermont State Police responded to Saxtons River Road for a report of a subject who was caught stealing a bicycle. Investigation revealed that a male juvenile had stolen a bicycle off a porch and the home owner caught him in the act. Although the juvenile attempted to flee with the bicycle the home owner was able to hold him until troopers arrived. The juvenile was cited into family court at a later date.
