-- On Sept. 26, Brattleboro Police Department was investigating a circumstance when officers learned that Lucas Bertolini, 27, of Hinsdale, N.H., had given false information. Bertolini was given a citation to appear at court at a later date and time to answer to the charge of false information to a police officer.

-- On Sept. 27, Brattleboro Police Department responded to a report of a possible trespasser. Officers arrested Daniel Clancy, 55, of Brattleboro, when he became disorderly. Clancy was released on a citation to appear at court a later date and time to answer to the charge of disorderly conduct.

-- On Sept. 30, Brattleboro Police Department responded to an address at Morningside Commons for a reported family fight. Further investigation resulted in Terrell R. Mitchell, 37, of Brattleboro, being charged with domestic assault. Mitchell was cited to appear in court at a later date to answer to this charge.


-- On Sept. 27, Vermont State Police received a report of a single vehicle crash on Middle Road. Troopers responded and located the crash on Middle Road at the intersection of Houghton Road. During the roadside investigation, it was discovered that Tracy Gabriel, 42, of Marlboro, was traveling west on Middle Road from Route 5, when a deer reportedly entered the roadway. Gabriel attempted to miss striking the deer but went off the roadway and struck a tree. The investigation revealed that Gabriel was under the influence of alcohol and taken into custody for DUI. Gabriel was transported to the Brattleboro barracks for processing, cited and released.


-- On Sept. 29, Vermont State Police responded to a single vehicle crash on Route 121 East. Peter Preziosi, 63, of Grafton, was traveling east when he swerved to avoid striking a deer. Preziosi lost control and went off the road and struck a stone wall. The vehicle, a 2011 Jeep Wrangler, sustained damage to the front end and undercarriage. Preziosi sustained minor lacerations as a result of the crash.


-- On Sept. 29, Vermont State Police received a report of stolen firewood from a residence on Guilford Center Road. Investigation revealed the following: sometime between 8:15 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. on Sept. 27, unknown persons stole about a half cord of firewood from the residence of Bonnie Partrick, 58, of Guilford. The victim hadn't noticed the missing firewood until Sept. 29, due to the fact that the thief took the wood from the center of the firewood pile. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact Trooper Valcourt of the Vermont State Police at 802-254-2382.


-- On Sept. 30, David Lipka, 32, of Island Park, N.Y., was stopped by Vermont State Police for a motor vehicle violation on Route 11. Lipka was found to have been drinking and was subsequently arrested for DUI. He was transported to the Rockingham State Police barracks for processing and later released. He is scheduled to be arraigned at the Windham Superior Court Criminal Division on Oct. 8 at 8 a.m.
