-- On Aug. 21, the Bellows Falls Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on the New Arch Bridge. As a result, Eric L. Thurston, of Bellows Falls, was arrested and cited for driving with a criminally suspended license. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On Sept. 13, the Bellows Falls Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Griswold Drive. As a result, Kenneth Melanson, of Bellows Falls, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On Sept. 11, Kathleen Hawes was cited for criminal contempt after it was found she had violated the conditions of her release. She was ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On Sept. 12 at 8 a.m., a Brattleboro police officer spotted Angel E. Figueroa, 24, of Brattleboro, driving a vehicle on a Whipple Street, even though his license was suspended.
When police attempted to stop Figueroa, he accelerated and fled the area. At the time, children and other pedestrians were in the area walking to Green Street School. According to police, when Figueroa fled, he swerved around a crossing guard at the intersection of Whipple Street and High Street, while the crossing guard was attempting to stop traffic. Figueroa was located later that same day walking on Western Avenue. He was arrested and cited for suspended driving, eluding police and negligent driving. He was released by the court and ordered to appear at a later date.
-- On Sept. 14, at about 10:45 p.m., the Brattleboro Police Department received a report of a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner. The vehicle was stopped on Green Street and following an investigation Scott Chadwick, 37, was arrested for driving under the influence and ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On Sept. 14, a Brattleboro police officer spotted Todd Koshinsky, 28, of Brattleboro, walking on Western Avenue, even though he is under conditions of release that require he stay in his residence 24 hours a day. The conditions are a result of an assault and stalking charge previously pending against him. He was arrested for violating the conditions of his release before being sent back to his house.
-- On Sept. 13, the Vermont State Police observed a vehicle failing to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Old Stowell Hill Road and Landgrove Road. As a result, Robert Newcomb, 25, of Chester, was arrested for operating a vehicle with a criminally suspended license. He was ordered to appear in court on Oct. 29.
-- On Sept. 16 at about 8:45 a.m., the Vermont State Police arrested John Yarosevich, 62, of Bellows Falls, after he was clocked doing 100 mph in a 65-mph zone. He was cited for excessive speed and ordered to appear in court on Oct. 29.
-- On Sept. 12 at about 7:30 a.m., the Vermont State Police responded to mile marker 36 on Interstate 91 for the report of a one vehicle crash. According to police, Steven Van Houten, 57, of Jaffrey, N.H., hit a patch of water and hyrdoplaned off the road, rolling his vehicle several times. He was transported to Springfield Hospital for treatment of a minor head injury.
-- On Sept. 15, at just past midnight, Vermont State Police arrived at a residence on Pine Banks Road in search of a male subject. As a result, numerous minors were found to be drinking alcoholic beverages. Carolynne Fox, 35, of Westminster, was cited for furnishing alcohol to minors and ordered to appear in court on Oct. 29.
-- The Vermont State Police are searching for Robert Damon, 27, of Westminster, after he fled on foot from a traffic stop. According to police, Damon was stopped on Sept. 14 for a defective equipment violation and provided a false name to the trooper conducting the stop. After being questioned, he provided a second false name before fleeing into the woods. Anyone who might know of Damon's location is urged to contact Trooper Nicholas Arlington at 802-875-2112.
-- On Sept. 13, the Vermont State Police responded to Farnsworth Circle for the report of a two-vehicle crash. According to police, Norman Stetson, 84, of Westminster, was traveling north but had difficulty seeing due to weather conditions. Stetson hit a vehicle being driven by Joanne Parker, 42, of Westminster, causing front-end and driver side damage to her vehicle.
-- On Sept. 16, the Windham County Sheriff's Department arrested Daniel J. King, 27, of Westminster and cited him for aggravated domestic assault and cruelty to children. He was ordered to appear in court on Sept. 17.
-- On Sept. 13, the Vernon Police Department responded to Broad Brook Road for the report of a single vehicle crash. According to police, Mark Krause, 26, of Hinsdale, N.H., was traveling west when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the road. He was transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. He was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence and ordered to appear in corut at a later date.
