Bellows Falls

-- On July 17, Crystal Schipper, 28, of Bellows Falls, was arrested by the Windham County Sheriff's Department on a warrant for failure to appear in court for a pre-trial conference. She was taken into custody and later appeared before the Vermont Superior Court Criminal Division as a result.

-- On July 24, Bellows Falls Police Department responded to Westminster Street for a domestic assault. Upon further investigation, Steven Lanou was cited for domestic assault.


-- On July 25, Denis A. St. Onge, 48, of Brattleboro, was arrested by the Windham County Sheriff's Department on a warrant for failure to appear in court for a trial. He was taken into custody and later transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility for lack of $5,000 bail.

-- On July 27, Brattleboro Police arrested Xavier Carter, 20, of Brattleboro, and charged him with simple assault and disorderly conduct. Carter was cited to appear in the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division at a later date to answer to these charges.

Chesterfield, N.H.

-- On July 25, Chesterfield Police Department, Rescue Inc. and Chesterfield Fire Department responded to a single car motor vehicle accident in the area of 835 Gulf Road. Rebecca Ezzyk, 22, of Hinsdale, N.H., was driving a 2005 Nissan Altima east on Gulf Road, when she came around the corner, lost control and struck a tree. Ezzyk suffered a bloody nose and other minor injuries. She was transported to the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Chesterfield Police Department.


-- On July 26, Anthony P. Tarr, 54, of Wilmington, was stopped for several motor vehicle infractions. He was arrested and cited into criminal court for driving with a license criminally suspended. He was released after being processed.


-- On July 22, a residence on Silver Mine Trail was burglarized. The suspects forced entry and miscellaneous jewelry was stolen. If anyone observed anything suspicious in the area or has any information about this case contact the Vermont State Police at 802-254-2382 ext. 566.

-- On July 23, Christopher C. Mattson, 49, of Newfane, failed to show up at his arraignment at the Vermont Superior Court Criminal Division, on the felony charge of sex offender registry and failure to comply. On the same day, Judge John P. Wesley issued a warrant for the arrest of Mattson. On July 26, Vermont State Police located Mattson at his place of employment on Main Street in Brattleboro. He was arrested, handcuffed and transported to the Brattleboro barracks for processing. Mattson was subsequently transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 bail.


-- On July 26, Vermont State Police received a report from a motorist of a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner on I-91 northbound. The vehicle was located on I-91 in Rockingham as it exited onto Route 5 at Exit 6 and stopped on Route 5. Christopher Salzer, 40, of Bradford, R.I., was subsequently arrested for DUI. He was transported to the Rockingham State Police Barracks for processing and booking. He was later released. Salzer is scheduled to be arraigned at the Windham Superior Court Criminal Division on Aug. 13 at 8 a.m.
