-- On April 25, the Brattleboro Police Department arrested Adhi Palar, 26, of Brattleboro for trespassing after finding him climbing on a train in the area of Vernon Street and Royal Road.

-- On May 8 the Brattleboro Police Department arrested Eric Mahaffey, 26, of Fairhaven, Vt., for driving under the influence after he caused a three vehicle accident on Putney Road. According to a press release, Mahaffey was traveling north on Putney Road near Noah’s Lane when he collided into the back of a car driven by Kristie Keppler-Mills, 30, of Brattleboro. Keppler-Mills, in turn, was pushed forward into a car driven by Maya Stoller, 17, of Brattleboro. The cars driven by Mahaffey and Keppler-Mills sustained damage and were towed from the scene. Stoller’s car received minor damage and was driven from the scene. Two of the people in the accident were treated at BMH for their injuries.

Bellows Falls

-- On May 3, the Bellows Falls Police Department arrested Amanda Reed, of Bellows Falls, for disorderly conduct after responding to a report of disorderly people on Brown Street. Reed was arrested for disorderly conduct and for violating conditions of release stemming from an earlier incident.


-- On May 9, the Vermont State Police reported to a residence on Bennett Road to investigate a burglary. The victims were away from the house and reported that their four-year-old beagle, named Sassy, had been stolen. The dog is black, white and brown. Anyone with information is asked to call 802-254-2382.


-- On May 6, the Vermont State Police arrested Ryan Magoon, 24, of Londonderry after responding to a report of a domestic disturbance. Magoon was arrested and transported to Bennington County Court House for an active warrant.

Saxtons River

-- On May 8, the Vermont State Police responded to a residence on Mill Street to investigate a report of a domestic assault. Juan Cardi, 21, of Saxtons River was arrested for first degree domestic assault.
