Bellows Falls

-- John Lawlor was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol at 12:23 a.m. on Monday, April 15.

-- Ronald Ramos, 50, of Bellows Falls, was cited at 9 p.m. on Monday, April 15, for violation of abuse protection order and violation of conditions of release.


-- Amanda Krause was cited for grand larceny on Thursday, Feb. 14. Police say they used security video to determine Krause stole a purse with about $3,000 in it at an eatery on Putney Road.

Krause was apprehended for another offense on Sunday, April 7, and she will face charges for the theft.

-- Steven Bostwick, 62, of Brattleboro, was cited for burglary on Wednesday, April 10. He was ordered to appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge.

-- Robert Ford was cited for retail theft at a Putney Road business on Tuesday, April 16.

-- At 12:15 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, Vermont State troopers stopped to check on a vehicle that was pulled over to the side of Stratton Arlington Road and had its emergency flashers on.

As the troopers pulled alongside the vehicle to check on its occupants, it accelerated away at a high rate of speed. Troopers stopped the vehicle a short distance later and determined the operator, Mark J. Holcomb, 26, of West Wardsboro, was operating under the influence of alcohol and had a suspended driver’s license.

Holcomb was cited for his second DUI and fifth DLS.

He is set to appear in court on Tuesday, May 7, to answer to the charges. He was also issued several tickets for operating an unregistered vehicle, operating a vehicle without insurance and consuming alcohol while driving.

-- Scott W. Samson, 49, of Spofford, N.H., was cited for excessive speed and negligent operation at 10:08 a.m. on Thursday, April 18. According to police, Samson was clocked traveling 106 mph in the southbound lane of Interstate 91. Samson was ordered to appear in Windham Superior Court: Criminal Division at a later date to answer to the charge.


-- Frederick C. Henry, 43, of Andover, was cited for driving under the influence at 7:37 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16. He was ordered to appear in court on Tuesday, April 30. Henry was also issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for speeding.

South Londonderry

-- Timothy J. Slade, 21, was cited for aggravated assault on Wednesday, April 17.


On April 12, Vermont State Police responded to a single vehicle crash on River Road South. The operator, David Gold, 19, of Newton, Mass., advised that he lost control because he took his eyes off the roadway as he was adjusting a song on an electronic device. The Toyota Highlander sustained significant damage to its passenger side because it left the paved portion of River Road South and struck trees located near the shoulder of the east bound lane. There were no injuries sustained as a result of this crash and the vehicle was towed by Rod’s Mobile of Putney. Gold was issued a ticket for leaving his lane in an unsafe manner.


-- Jesse Paquette, 30, of Vernon, was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol on Wednesday, April 17.


-- Jesse E. L. Pride, of Winchester, N.H., was cited for negligent operation of a vehicle while driving in the area of Exit 5 in the southbound lane of Interstate 91 at 8:31 a.m. on Sunday, April 14.

He was ordered to appear in court at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7.
