On April 11, Bellows Falls Police arrested Gabriel Tune, 19, of Chester, N.Y., for possession of marijuana. Tune was processed and released with a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court Criminal Division on May 21 to answer to the charge.
On April 12, Brattleboro Police responded to the Havilands Service Station located at 193 Green Street for a reported burglary. Investigation revealed that sometime overnight, an individual or individuals gained access to this building and stole an undisclosed amount of money. Brattleboro Police is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible. Please contact Officer Adam Belville at 802-257-7946 or leave an anonymous tip at 802-251-8188.
On April 10, Vermont State Police responded to a report of a car hitting a bridge located on Route 121. The complainant who called advised the vehicle was swerving all over the road prior to the crash. Investigation of the crash and the manner of operation revealed that Heather Howard, 59, of Cambridgeport, had lunch with friends in the town of Bellows Falls and then was driving home after admittedly consuming red wine. Howard was arrested at the scene and processed for DUI at the Rockingham State Police Barracks. Howard was then released with a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court Windham County Criminal Division on April 30.
