Bellows Falls

-- Shawn Troy, 40, of Bellows Falls, was arrested on March 12, after being stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Atkinson Street in Bellows Falls. The Vermont State Police arrested Troy for was cited on Tuesday, March 12, for possessing a switchblade. He was cited by the Windham County Sheriff’s Department.

He was ordered to appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge.


-- Vermont State Police are investigating a theft at a construction site on Lucier Road in Marlboro. According to police, several tools including an air compressor were taken sometime between Monday, March 11, and Wednesday, March 13.

Anyone with information about this theft or any suspicious activity in the area in encouraged to contact Trooper James Matthews at 802-254-2382.

-- Megan M. Leveille, 53, of Houston, Texas, was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol after she was found to be intoxicated after Brattleboro Police responded to Western Avenue and Melrose Street on a report of a motor vehicle crash on Wednesday, March 13.

-- Natasha A. Munday, 20, of Brattleboro, was cited for domestic assault on Wednesday, March 13.

Police had responded to 96 Frost St. on a report of a citizen dispute.

Munday was released and ordered to appear in court at a later date.

-- A 20-year-old man was cited for failure to appear in court on a violation of probation on Thursday, March 14.

Corey Ostroski, of Brattleboro, was taken into custody and later appeared before the Windham Superior Court: Criminal Division as a result.


--Kevin Murray, 42, of Guilford, was arrested on March 9 after the Vermont State Police reported to a domestic disturbance on Green River Road.

Murray allegedly left the scene and he was picked up on Hinesburg Road in Brattleboro.

Murray was driving with a criminally suspended license and taken to the Brattleboro barracks for processing.


-- Leon Arel, 43, of Putney was arrested on March 8 after the Vermont State Police stopped him on Route 5 near the Exit 4 Sunoco station.

Arel was stopped for having defective equipment and the police determined that he was driving with a criminally suspended license.

He was cited and ordered to appear in Windham Superior Court to answer to the charge.


-- Dylan Gunnip, 19, of Rutland, was cited for possession of marijuana and was issued court diversion for a minor possessing alcohol after the Vermont State Police reported to a call for a noise disturbance at 235 Westminster Heights Road on March 3.

When the police arrived they noticed Gunnip with alcohol, and also saw him put a package behind a propane tank, which later was determined to be marijuana

-- The Vermont State Police are investigating a burglary that took place at 523 Westminster West Road, at the home of Geraldine McCullock.

McCullock told the police that someone had broken into her home and taken several pieces of jewelry and various types of currency. There was no forced entry and the police are investigating the incident.
