-- On March 2, Samuel M. Sergi, 50, of Brattleboro, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after police responded to Meadowbrook Road to the report of a vehicle off the road. Sergi was ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On March 3, the Brattleboro Police Department arrested Leigh A. Lacasse, 35, no hometown given, for shoplifting at Hannaford on Putney Road. She was ordered to appear in court at a later date.
-- On March 4, the Vermont State Police stopped Scott R. Travers, 40, of Fall River, Mass., on I-91 north for failure to maintain his lane of travel.
According to police, Travers was cited for drinking alcohol while driving and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. He was ordered to appear in court on April 23.
-- On March 4, the Vermont State Police received a complaint from an individual driving on Route 30 that a maroon and white Ford Bronco nearly caused a motor-vehicle accident.
Troopers located the vehicle on Route 30 near Upper Dummerston Road and arrested Todd C. Wilcoxson of Stafford, Conn., for driving under the influence. He was ordered to appear in court on March 26. The state police were assisted by the Brattleboro Police Department.
-- On Jan. 26, the Vermont State Police responded to I-91 for the report of a rollover vehicle accident. The driver, Breanne Lucey, of Walpole, N.H., told police she lost control of her vehicle, slid off the roadway and crashed into the median while traveling north. Following the accident, troopers conducted a field sobriety test before bringing her to the Brattleboro barracks for processing for driving under the influence. On March 7, the Vermont State Police issued a press release stating she was ordered to appear in court on April 23 to answer to the charge.
-- On March 3, the Vermont State Police responded to Middle Road for the report of a single-vehicle crash.
According to police, Judy Hawkins, 63, of Townshend, was traveling too fast for road conditions when she lost control of her vehicle near the intersection of East West Road. She was not injured in the crash, but she was issued a ticket.
-- On March 6, the Vermont State Police responded to a residence on Prospect View Drive to the report of an attempted stolen vehicle.
According to police, while the residents were on vacation, a friend stopped in to check on the house and found their car stuck in a snow bank at the end of the driveway. They also discovered a chain saw had been stolen.

-- On Feb. 28, the Vermont State Police responded to Hatch School Road for the report of an abandoned truck. According to police, it appeared the driver of the Toyota Tacoma was heading east when he failed to negotiate a right-hand turn at the intersection of Winchester Road. The vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a snow bank. Police discovered the vehicle was unregistered and the license plates did not belong the truck. Anyone with information is urged to call Trooper Travis Valcourt at 802-254-2382.
-- On March 3, the Vermont State Police arrested Ryan P. Smith, 26, of West Hartford, Conn., for driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was pulled over on Coldbrook Road for failing to maintain his lane of travel. Smith was ordered to appear in court on March 26.
