HALIFAX -- Two Halifax women were arrested Saturday night after the Vermont State Police raided an underage drinking party on Thomas Hill Road in Halifax.

Naomi Gelb, 39, and Rachel Dailey, 32, were charged with selling or furnishing alcohol to minors, enabling consumption by minors and possession of marijuana.

They were released on a citation to report to the Vermont Superior Court in Brattleboro on Jan. 8, 2013 for arraignment.

According to a police press report, the Vermont State Police received a complaint about suspicious activity on Thomas Hill Road at around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night.

When police responded to the area, they found underage intoxicated individuals in a car parked on the rural road. The police say the individuals in the car said they had just left a house party on Thomas Hill Road.

The police located the party and were issued a search warrant from the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division. The press release says 23 under age drinkers were located at the party and issued diversion paperwork for minors having consumed alcohol.

Dailey and Gelb, who rent the house and were hosting the party, were arrested and ordered to appear in Windham Superior Court to answer to the charges.
