Police search for Abbiati, Gouger's burglar


BRATTLEBORO -- The Brattleboro Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a person who attempted to break into Abbiati Monuments on South Main during the early morning hours on March 26.

Video surveillance obtained from various locations shows the subject attempting to break into the property and causing damage to several head stones that were on the property.

Later that morning at approximately 3:30 a.m., it appears the same subject broke into Gouger's Market on Canal Street. The male is seen leaving Gouger's traveling north on Canal Street.

The subject is described at a white male, approximately. 5-foot, 9-inches to 6 feet tall, 165 to 180 pounds, wearing a light colored baseball type cap, a light to medium grayish zip up hooded sweatshirt, with a lighter colored border around the base and neck of the sweatshirt and light colored pants. He may also be wearing thin-framed glasses.
